Everything you need to know about how Reserve Noir works.

How it works

What exactly does Reserve Noir do?+

We monitor 185+ of the hardest-to-book restaurants across NYC, Miami, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, and London around the clock. The moment a table opens, you get a Telegram DM with a direct link to the restaurant's booking page. You tap it, you book. We do nothing else.

We don't book for you. We don't ask for your login. We detect the opening and get you there first.

How quickly will I get alerted?+

Our system checks every few minutes around the clock. When you set a watch alert on a specific restaurant, checks run more frequently during known drop windows. Most openings are caught within minutes of appearing — though tables at the most sought-after restaurants can disappear just as fast.

Speed matters. That's why alerts go out via Telegram DM — it's the fastest push delivery available.

Do you guarantee I'll get a reservation?+

No. We guarantee you'll be alerted the moment a slot opens. We cannot guarantee the slot will still be available by the time you tap the link — popular tables move fast.

What we do guarantee: you'll know about it before almost anyone else, and the link goes directly to the booking page.

Do you book on your behalf?+

No. We send you the alert and a direct link. You complete the booking yourself on the restaurant's own booking page. We never access your account, store your payment details, or act on your behalf.

Cities & Alerts

Can I keep multiple cities active at once?+

Yes. All six cities can be active simultaneously. Cities work as notification toggles — turning a city on means you'll receive alerts for it; turning it off pauses notifications for that city while keeping your alerts saved.

If you're traveling between cities or planning a trip, just toggle accordingly. Use /cities in the bot to manage your active cities at any time.

Why does party size matter? Why not just alert me whenever a table opens?+

Because a table for 4 is not a table for 2. Restaurants release slots by party size — a cancellation for a 4-top doesn't appear as availability for 2. If we alerted you regardless of size, you'd receive notifications for tables you can't book.

Set your party size per alert. Each watch alert you create has its own party size, so you only hear about openings that actually work for your group. The default is 2, but you can override it for each alert individually.

How do date-based alerts work?+

When you set a watch for a specific date (e.g., /alert Carbone 2026-04-15), the alert automatically stops after that date passes. No action needed on your end.

If you don't specify a date, the alert watches for any available slot at that restaurant and stays active until you cancel it or tap Booked.

How do I stop an alert once I've booked?+

Every alert notification includes a Booked button. One tap and that specific alert stops — no commands needed.

You can also use /myalerts in the bot to view and cancel any of your active watches at any time, or /cancelalert [name] to remove a specific one by name.

Scalpers & Ethics

Isn't this just another bot? How is Reserve Noir different from reservation scalpers?+

It's the opposite. Scalpers use bots to hoard tables, then resell them at $350–$1,700 a seat. Reserve Noir uses monitoring to notify you the moment a table is available — so you can book it yourself, at the restaurant's normal price, with no middleman taking a cut.

We never touch your reservation. We never hold a table. We never resell anything. We watch, we alert, you book. The table stays between you and the restaurant.

Is this legal?+

Yes. New York State made the resale of restaurant reservations illegal in 2024. Philadelphia passed a similar law in December 2025. Reserve Noir is fully compliant — we are an alert service, not a resale marketplace.

We notify. You book. Nothing changes hands except information.

Why can't I just check for open tables myself?+

You can — but tables at the most in-demand restaurants are often gone within minutes of appearing, many at 10 AM sharp when restaurants release their next batch. Checking manually means you'd need to be watching at exactly the right moment, every day.

Reserve Noir checks every few minutes, 24/7, across 185+ restaurants simultaneously. When a slot appears, you get a Telegram DM before almost anyone else sees it.

Does Reserve Noir create artificial scarcity or harm restaurants?+

No. We do not hold, block, or lock any reservations. Every slot we detect goes directly to a member who may then book it through the restaurant's own platform. If a member doesn't book, the table remains available to everyone.

Scalpers harm restaurants by holding slots that go unused, causing no-shows and lost revenue. Reserve Noir does the opposite — we help real diners fill real tables.

Membership

How do I cancel my membership?+

Use /unsubscribe in the bot. You'll see a confirmation prompt — tap to confirm or keep your membership. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period via Stripe. You retain full access until then.

No emails. No forms. One command.

Why is membership capped at 500?+

Fewer members means fewer people competing for the same alert. When a table opens at Carbone and 10 people get the notification instead of 10,000, your odds of booking it are meaningfully better.

The cap is permanent — not a marketing tactic.

What cities are currently covered?+

New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and London are all live now, with 185+ restaurants monitored across all six cities.

Is there an app?+

No. Alerts are delivered via Telegram — the fastest push notification channel available. Telegram is free and available on every platform. No separate app download required.

Everything — setup, city toggles, setting alerts, canceling — happens directly in the bot: @ReserveNoir_Bot.
